I am SO excited that spring has FINALLY come! It was such a long,
cold winter and for months I've dreamt of nothing but the sun on
my face and new life springing from the ground. The hint of
summer we had a few days ago prompted me to look through some of
the photos I had taken last April – specifically flowers – and
try my hand at editing – just fiddling around with color levels
and what not. I also went outside this afternoon to capture the
crocuses – the only flowers currently in bloom around here.

I am trying – trying! – to refrain from wanting a different lens with a lower DOF. I looooove the look of bokeh in the background and just want more and more of it! However, that's not happening anytime soon and it would probably be better for me to understand my camera more before the excitement of a new lens distracts me from doing so.
